Imagine a porn director/producer getting an Oscar for cinematography at the actual Academy Awards. These days, pornography is much more than a romp on the bed (so I’ve been told). It’s got great storylines, with a beginning, middle and happy ending. Who needs Ingmar Bergman, when you can have Randy Candy? His creative masterpiece “le lave-linge” is about a washing machine engineer who goes to the wrong address and has a ménage à trois with a bored housewife and a poet pizza delivery guy. The plot thickens in this movie, but there is one problem, the subtitles get in the way of the action.
