We’re going back forty-plus years to the 1980s with former POTUS Ronald Reagan’s infamous quote: “Facts are stupid things”. This quote has pride of place in our Funny T-shirt Category—it’s hard to decide whether this dumbass line is Fact or Friction. And yet, here we are, decades later, chuckling at the sheer absurdity of it all. Maybe Reagan accidentally invented the meme before memes existed. To be fair to RR he meant to quote the line of John Adams (second President of the USA): “Facts are stubborn things,” before he corrected himself. Perhaps he got the words stuck in his Adam’s apple. Either way, it didn’t enhance his reputation.
